Talking about camping always bring great memories to us. Memories about our childhood, about all the adventures we had when we were kids. We still envy that time of our life. That period is what made us adventure junkies. It made us who we are today.
Over the years we have gone for a lot of camping trips. We indeed are experts in these outdoor adventures. Most of our friends come to me asking about camping. You may wonder about finding the best tools for camping, from tents to best tactical tomahawks.
In this article, we will list all of the essential tools you will need for outdoor camping.
1. Tents
In our opinion, the importance of tents shouldn't be explained. They are the shelter. And in an experience centred on outdoor a shelter is an absolute necessity. You may find tents to be a luxury but trust me they are essential.
Tents are portable. They are made of a framework of metal poles and some fabric surrounding it. Every piece of a tent can be disassembled. This makes it easy to carry it around.
Shelters can accommodate people according to their size. Two persons can use small tents, and a large tent will be enough for 5 or 6 people. If you are planning a camping trip, then always bring tents according to the number of people.
2. Camping Cot
A lot of people hate camping just because they have to sleep on the ground. If you are one of these people Camping cots will be an essentials item for you. It is the best way of not resting on the ground while camping.
Camping cots are essentially full-sized foldable cots. Most of the camping cots have weight enough to carry it around. Once unfolded, they can carry the weight of a full-sized adult. They are spacious and comfortable. Camping cots cost approximately $100 for a good one. But they are worth it.
3. Camping Flashlights
An actual flashlight is being ignored by campers these days. Everybody has a smartphone so why do they need a flashlight? This is the question that everybody asks.
Any experienced camper like me will tell you that a camping flashlight is essential. The torch on a smartphone is never bright enough. The outdoor always have some kind of risk having a bright light source is necessary.
If you are exploring unknown territories in the dark, you will understand the importance of a flashlight. In emergencies, they can even be used for self-defence. (Personalized By Kate)
4. Survival Water Filter
If you are human, you need water. Most camping sites are not the best places to find clean water. We had a lot of problems finding clean water on a lot of occasions. Camping is all about surviving on your own. So if you can't look for pure water, you should be capable of cleaning the available water. Survival water filters help you with this.
Survival water filters are small. You can keep them in the corner of your backpack. Most of them are easy to use. But it does require some effort to use.
5. Survival Machete
Camping teaches you to survive in the wild by practice. A survival machete is one of the essential tools for surviving in a jungle.
Survival machetes are long blades with sharp edges and a pointed end. These can be used to cut bushes and other vegetation found in jungle-like terrains. If you are looking to clear an area for a camping site, this can come in handy.
Survival machetes can also be helpful in gathering food. The pointed end of the knife can come in handy in all kind of situations.
6. Camping Axe (tactical tomahawks)
Camping axes are the tool for most of the tasks in a campsite. It can be used for anything from campsite preparation to campfire preparation. The flexibility in uses is what makes this one of the significant tools for your camping trip.
The best tactical tomahawks have more agility than cutting power. Being able to use it best with one hand is vital. You can't be using both hands with a camping axe. It is neither safe nor useful.
A camping axe can be described as handy. Comparing its size and effort of carrying it provides a higher value.
7. Camping Grill
If you want to have fun on your outdoor adventure, you should bring a grill. Food is an essential part of the fun. If you are eating something, not for survival that is fun.
When we go on a camping trip with our family Camping grill is a must. Food is the centre of everything. So having a nice barbecue on your camping trip will be amazing.
Grills are hard to carry around. Which may make it seem like a non-essential item but it is not. As Camping Console suggests, says "Having good food is the key to a good trip"
8. Waterproof Backpacks
When you are going out into the wild having an odor proof backpack to keep the essentials is a necessity. Ultimately, the packet is also an essential item. The bag should be waterproof.
Camping trips are often faced with rain, snow, and other harsh climates. Your bag holds everything needed for the trip. What will happen if water enters the bag? Everything will be ruined, and the whole trip may be in jeopardy.
So always buy a waterproof backpack. Buy an extra cover for your backpack if you are worried. This will give extra protection to your backpack under extreme conditions.
9. Sleeping Bags
A sleeping bag is a bed and a blanket. It keeps you warm and also provides a cushion to sleeping. They are the essential item for camping. Having a place to relax is vital for any camper. Not all of us can carry a tent or camping cot around.
Sleeping bags never take much space, and they are easy to carry. Sometimes campers use them even inside tents due to extreme weather conditions. A good sleeping bag can help you escape extreme weather like heavy rain or snowfall.
P.S.: I use sleeping bags more than tents or camping cots.
10. Portable Toilet
All civilised humans are taught to be clean. This cleanliness is most important in sanitary for most people. Camping is one of the most challenging places to keep this cleanliness.
Everybody camps in the outdoor mostly jungles. There are no toilets here and if you eat you will need to shit. Portable toilets are lifesavers for campers.
They provide a clean atmosphere for their sanitary needs. They are difficult to carry around. But that is the price you have to pay for a clean toilet outdoors. Outdoor camping is a fun activity. As kids, we all enjoy this. But when we were kids, everything was arranged by our parents. And as adults planning a camping trip, there are a lot of things to take care of.
A lot of things are essential for camping. We have listed ten items that were the most important on our trips. Every item in the list holds its significance. We have tried to explain it in the best possible way. Camping is fun only when appropriately planned. If it is not designed correctly, a disaster may await.
