Camping has been a passion of mine for well over twenty years now. Over the years, not much has changed other than the gadgets and devices I take on my trips.

Exploring outdoors is often a great opportunity to detox from technological distractions. Nonetheless, there are a handful of gadgets I use to make my trips more enjoyable and comfortable

Below are three gadgets that accompany me on every camping trip.

Water to go

One of the biggest priorities when out in mother nature is finding a clean and safe water source. However, no matter how safe a stream or a spring may appear, you can never be too sure how safe a source is.

One of my best purchases, this year is the Water 2 Go water filter. Inside these bottles are filters that combine NASA technology and three filtering techniques to remove 99.9% of all microbiological contaminants including bacteria, heavy metals, and harmful chemicals.

Unlike most purifiers, the Water 2 Go is incredibly easy to use and require no battery power. The filter is activated simply by soaking it in water for 15 mins.

The best feature of the Water-to-go?: Easily its length of life and durability. The filter themselves last for 90 days and filter 200 litres of water. Also, the bottle itself is pretty much indestructible. I’ve taken mine on multiple trips over the last 5 years and despite having suffered a few knocks it still operates just fine.

Dynavap M 2019

There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by nature and enjoying your favorite herbal blends.

However, in 2019 we all have no excuse to be ignorant of the dangers of smoking. This is why many of us are switching to dry herb vaporizers. With a decent vaporizer, your herbs face zero risks of consumption and as a result, any dangers to your health are minimized.

Typically, herbal vaporizers are vulnerable to dust and water and have batteries that only provide a few hours worth of use. This makes most dry herb vapes useless for camping trips that last more than a couple of days.

Because of this, the Dynavap M 2019 has become my new best friend. Firstly it requires no batteries and can be operated by any heat flame. Second, its entire body is made of stainless steel and is virtually indestructible.

Overall, the performance of the Dynavap has been reviewed favorably.

You can safely take it on the most rigorous of camping trips and be confident of the vape making it back in once piece.

The best feature of the Dynavap M 2019 - The difficulty with flame powered vaporizers is that it can be difficult to judge the temperature. The Dynavap has an innovative ‘VapCap’. When you’re applying flame, it’ll click to let you know that it is ready to be vaped and then it’ll click again to let you know your session is over.

SEALLINE BOUNDARY PORTAGE PACK 115L

If like me, you often camp within the UK then only one thing is guaranteed; Rain! In England and Scotland, you are going to need an effective wet or dry pack.

Their vital to keep important and fragile items dry and quarantine items that are already soaked.

The best-wet and dry pack I have used is the Sealline Boundary Portage Pack. It’s very reliable - I haven't had a leak once and it has a very high build quality. Out of all the packs I have used, this model is the best compromise between affordability, comfort, and hauling capacity

The best feature of the Sealline Boundary Portage Pack - Despite its huge carrying capacity, this wet and dry pack is very comfortable to wear. It has wide, adjustable shoulder pads and it has been designed with ergonomics in mind and as a result, the weight is distributed evenly.

RAVPower 20,000mAh power bank

More often than not, we often take multiple electronic devices away on our travels.

Unfortunately, our mobile phones, tablets and Bluetooth speakers often only hold up to one day’s charge which means we can be left gadgetless by sun fall.

This is where a USB Power Pack comes in handy. My favourite is the RAVPower. It has a massive 20,000 MAh battery which is enough juice to charge an iPhone X seven times!

The best feature of the RAVPower 20,000mAh - It features multiple charging ports which can be incredibly convenient. It means you can charge up to three devices at once.

Wacaco Minipresso Espresso Maker

If you like an espresso to start the morning, then the Wacaco Minipresso Espresso Maker is a must for any camping trip. It’s quite possibly the smallest Espresso Maker. Despite its diminutive nature it somehow builds up just enough pressure to make great tasting thick espresso. Also, The device assembles into multiple pieces which makes it easy to clean.

The best feature of the Wacaco Minipresso Espresso Maker: You could be mistaken for assuming this portable coffee maker is powered by magic! It doesn’t require any batteries or compressed air. Instead it is powered by a semi-automatic piston. All you need to add is your coffee and water!
